Coming from a country like India, where society expects you to get married soon after completing your studies, 24 years old Dipti Sharma from a town called Rudrapur, India decided to follow her own path and become a model.
It took three years of sending her Polaroids to agencies in New York, London and Paris, before Anima Creatives, a local agency, signed her and pushed her to international attention.

“I’m very straightforward, and sometimes, people think that’s blunt. I don’t really like to pretend.” She was a beauty pageant finalist before she made her debut on high fashion runways. Dipti first walked for Balenciaga’s spring 2018 show and her career took off shortly after. She credits Balenciaga for giving her the bold new look she is now recognized for, her short cropped hair. She has now starred in ad campaigns and appeared on runways for designers including Michael Kors, Dolce & Gabbana, Alexander Wang, Dries Van Noten and Gareth Pugh.
