We were lucky enough to stumble upon Korean artist Bella Dea in the subway of all places! There was an art space at the station closest to our hotel and saw her artwork first which as you can see was all manga figures or animations. Having the opportunity to meet Bella herself, she explained how she started as a artist, sewing these felt figurines for her young son as toys. We think they’re pretty dope. Check check!

Homie Preservation’s been in the game for 20+ as a DJ and producer. Heard K’naan’s hit “Wavin’ Flag”? Yep, homie co-wrote that.You might also know him as the tour DJ and in-house producer for one Yasiin Bey (fka Mos Def). In 2015 Preservation’s full length album, “Days with Dr. Yen Lo”, with MC Ka did #9 on Rolling Stones Best Hip Hop Album 2015. Preservation has performed in 25 countries+ with luminaries such as Robert Glasper, Gil Scott-Heron, Gary Bartz, Shuggie Otis and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band. Do the knowledge.
