在SS14 Louis Vuitton發佈會中,官方證實與Marc哥的結束16年關係,這個消息對Louis Vuitton的粉絲十分失望,因為Marc哥在這16年內為LV掀起不少熱話,如經典的村上龍聯名合作系列。但經典只能回味,我們只能在這裡說:再見，Marc哥。
Wasn’t Marc Jacobs’ run at Louis Vuitton one of the most successful ever? From his appointment under great scrutiny, didn’t Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs evolve into the perfect match? He must be remembered for propelling a storied ‘luggage’ house into the stratuspheres of contemporary fashion. There were times where, under his leadership, Louis Vuitton could have been considered the pinnacle. To truly acknowledge the reality of his departure, a passing salutation of respect would be an insult. A chorus of ovations would be the least apropos. Some of his women’s collections for me, were the epitomy of creative brilliance. From Fall 2007 to 2009, Marc ‘dun run tings’. That period was spectacular. Mr. Jacobs was always able to distill his ideas into wearable forms. He had the ‘pulse’, it seemed, innately. Could he be the trigger point of street fashion’s appropriation to the runway? The ‘bunny ears’ collection, ‘tribal’ the season before, outstanding! On to the next Marc Jacobs. Please continue to inspire us!
