Straight up when I first saw these shoes I hated them visciously. Then they dropped the Lebron 11’s and it just looked like a farce in comparison. With this drop and the floral patterned KD VI’s the shoe has grown on me. These Elite Gold’s though. WHOOOOO! I think its the materials and the color scheme. The fly wire additions and the translucent white knit material work like a charm. The color scheme is just clean. All the right gold accents throughout. Damn can my Visa take the weight?

So its well documented our effusive love for this shoe. Since, it has also been documented by other sources that Bron Bron hates this shoe cuz it just don’t work for his feet. Too light or something. Well after a few incarnations the bombest colorways besides the OG’s have not been the hallmark stunnas like Miami Beach, All Star or Easter joints. In fact the best one’s we have seen we can’t get our hands on unless we real ballers and by that I mean, playing in the L, with a league pass to the players association not the one you buy annually (but I applaud you fellow crack addicts). This though is pretty fresh. Before you start forming queues outside of stores and pitching tents, READ THIS. This is a limited edition Lebron 11 X NBA 2k14 shoe. Listen close. You gots to ‘unlock’ this shoe ‘namean?’. Players of the game have to reach several milestones which include: win 60 games, and create a signature shoe in the Nike Innovation Kitchen within the game. This will take approximately 80 hours. 2014 pairs of these have been made. If there are any left start your game consoles. Otherwise appreciate don’t hate.

在2013秋冬時裝，國際品牌想必成為大家潮流的指標，但本地時裝亦不容忽視。誰說本地時裝沒有人才?!她是JOHANNA HO。在她早幾季的女裝系列已經另眼相看，在這2013年的秋冬季中，她正式推出首個男裝系列。擅長針織技術的她，怎樣將這技術放在男裝設計上?怎麼以一向設計女裝的角度投放在男性時裝上?…疑問很多，但毫無疑問是她是優秀的本地設計師- JOHANNA HO。
So for FW2013, our friend Johanna Ho, designed her first menswear collection. We thought it was pretty fresh and a good excuse as any to break bread with her and pick her mind at the time. Johanna’s last few women’s collections have really come along in our eyes and we wanted to catch her on her accent. If ya don’t know, I would say Johanna’s got a knitwear game in spades, and if ya don’t know, that’s a good chunk of what sportswear is all about.

SPITGAN : 這是你首個男裝系列嗎? //為什麼現在才開始?靈感來源自?
Johanna Ho : 對!這是我首個男裝系列，其實第一次接觸男裝是為陳奕迅3年前的演唱會做服裝設計，並得到極大迴響和鼓勵，如WYMAN(黃偉文)、蘇永康等好友，推使我這次男裝系列的產生。但當中最滿足是當人們稱讚她為陳奕迅設計的衣服穿上身時完全看不出身型的缺點時(並不是說陳奕迅的體型大，而只可以說他是實力型歌手)，這種挑戰和成功感是我的動力，亦是我一向設計的宗旨-「衣服是設計給人穿，如運用陳奕迅的例子，He is human being(他不是模特兒身型，但他就是人，是現實的反映)。
SG : 靈感除了來自EASON CHAN之外，你老公有沒有帶給你靈感呢?
JH : 我的老公是一個比較對時尚的觸角比較敏感和有要求的人，他比較像是一個QC人員(品質監管人員)，當有時候設計了一些款式時，以他的角度看男士的品味，會給我不一樣的看法。
SG : 你所選擇的物料主要是WOOL/KNIT，會否增加製作的難度?
JH : 這又不會增加製作的難度，可能真的要多謝啊臣(陳奕迅)，為他的演唱會製作服裝，從而令我製作男裝的技術純熟了；加上我JOHANNA HO這品牌是以針織作特色，因為針織能夠營造出不同的質感，如這季秋冬男裝服飾中，我只用了一種WOOL(羊毛)，但當中不同的織法、不同的洗水方法、不同種類的羊毛等，能帶出不同的變化，這就是我為什麼喜歡使用針織設計衣服。因為我平時已習慣用針織做女裝，現在做男裝比做女裝更加方便，加上男士身體比較平服，所以不會增加製作的難度。
SG : 設計男裝和設計女裝兩者有什麼差別?
JH : 開始設計男裝時，發現它是十分具挑戰性，但這挑戰性亦是它的優勢- 就是不會將男裝設計得太花巧。當知道不能太花巧時，自己就會從剪裁、工序、質素等方面使設計精簡，當完成這方面時，設計差不多已經完成8至9成，最後就要從細節位著手，使設計更加完美。而女裝方面，因為種類太多，如裙有分高腰、中腰、低腰，亦有長、中、短等，當種類太多時，就難以用設計男裝的方法套在設計女裝上。但在顧客方面，兩者是沒有分別。當開始設計男裝後，一些女顧客亦會買男裝穿著，這其實沒有什麼問題。因為現在潮流有時候會流行「交換穿著」，即係男穿女裝，女穿男裝。順理成章，我這品牌就變「UNISEX(中性)」。
SG : 有沒有一些特別意思想透過這次男裝系列來表達?
JH : 其實每一次設計都是講求興趣同熱忱，因為沒有興趣同熱忱，設計出來就不是我JOHANNA HO的設計。而這次秋冬系列上，用了男士紳士服的概念套上針織的方式，如襯衫的翻領位置用了針織的技術，營造「JOHANNA HO式紳士服」。當中想傳達的信息是一向男士紳士服給人的感覺時十分正式、嚴肅的服裝，而我JOHANNA HO式紳士服想表達時尚而又顛覆傳統的紳士服給現代的男士們新的選擇。
Trail runners. Nike been dominating this segment of the market since the ACG days. The logical extension here, Nike Kiger’s. Before the Lebron’s 11 dropped I was about to spring the duckets on this pair, but I withheld by biting my forearm. I mess with these heavy though. They come in a couple of color ways for both men and women. This scheme shown is the creme de la creme. Nike! Over here…show me some love!

Full disclosure: even though I lived in New York backintheday (‘98/’99) and even played ball in the streets of New York, up until this July I’d never actually watched a basketball game in New York. The Knicks? First off, I hate ’em. I hated them in the Patrick Ewing/John Starks era, rooted (briefly) for them as an underdog in the short-lived Sprewell era and they’ve been pretty much irrelevant ever since.*
* Yeah, yeah, Carmelo. As for Brooklyn – the Nyets? Seriously? Maybe this year; maybe…

提起紐約，或者當年的hip hop風光不再，但紐約街頭籃球的王者霸氣至今依然未減。
利申：雖然我在紐約住過一會兒（1998－1999），又打過一陣街頭籃球，但是我其實沒有真正看過一場籃球賽。你想應該有看過the Knicks吧? 不要開玩笑，我討厭這支球隊，除了因為它的影響力小之外*，我也討厭Patrick Ewing/John Starks擔正的年代，我只算是勉強支持過苟延殘喘的Sprewell年代，就這麼多而已。
*我知道，我知道有Carmelo。所以你說要去看布魯克林the Nyets?你還在開玩笑嗎？好吧，或許今年去，又或者…不會。
總之，雖然我住的紐約有Rucker和其他數不盡的街頭籃球聯賽（例如：布魯克林的Soul in the Hole, 西四街的The Cage, 因伍德的Dyckman），但是我從來沒有見識過為人津津樂道的熱血街場比賽。於是在上個週末，我決定是時候要去長見識了。
我本來打算去哈林的Rucker Park, 可惜來得不是時候，沒有碰上比賽－－誰都想免掉查找聯賽比賽場次的功夫啊。不過也沒關係，我轉去有著街籃傳奇Bobbito Garcia的Dyckman街籃聯賽，剛好碰上了星期五晚上演的兩場高中比賽，分別是：L-Pac 對 Mookie’s All Stars, 以及Team Dyckman對10th Avenue。
