男人不能賣化妝品嗎?韓國品牌最喜歡用白澈男明星做代言人,親身塗上護膚品甚至唇彩,用一雙誠懇明目告訴女生們,買我。 這樣的廣告奏效嗎?見到Etude cosmetics門口的“人流管制”排隊線,還有人頭湧湧的店面,就知道成效多大。品牌請來的代言大多是K-pop男明星,例如是來自組合Shinee的帥氣Minho(崔珉豪)。看著被女顧客塞得滿滿的店,誰說找男生代言為女生而設的產品不ok?

You think men have done it all? Well there are certain barriers that have yet to be crossed. You would be forgiven in harboring the belief they would never be. How about men selling cosmetics? How you like them apples? Etude cosmetics seems to think its time, and word on the streets is that the campaign has been rather successful. Granted the ‘men’ are mostly K-POP stars like handsome Minho here, from the group Shinee, but the girls are coming in droves. Who knew?

RUN DMC在Hip Hop和潮流界有舉足輕重的地位,有很多的創作都成為了經典,而Adidas也早就找來RUN DMC聯手打造潮品。RUN DMC厲害到假如他們在糖果紙上印名字,SPITGAN也必定會報導。 可惜,如果你擁有或者只是最近見過任何一件OG系列,你就會發現它不如想象般出色。就連紀念JMJ的shell toes sneakers 都在細節上加添了新心思,例如在鞋帶加上Hip Hop經典金項鍊dookey chain和鞋舌上的燙字。

這次2013的新演繹的變化不大。鞋子並不十分突出,基本上是像涼鞋一樣直接套上就走的設計,有點經典的「無鞋帶」RUN DMC鞋影子;系列其它的產品則印有較普通單調的印刷圖案。我們沒有實物試穿,所以無法告訴實質的穿後感。要是你衣櫃裡暫時還沒有一件RUN DMC的潮品,你或許可以趁今季買來穿穿,順便向RUN DMC致敬吧。讓我們一起希望這系列會帶著更多精彩的設計回歸。

If RUN DMC put their name on a candy wrapper SPITGAN would cover it. What these guys did for Hip Hop and style is classic in itself. Good on Adidas for recognizing early on. The OG collections, without a doubt, are some of the illest pieces if you have them, or can find them now. Even the JMJ memorial shell toes were something fresh, with dope little details like the dookey chain on the laces and his grill on the tongue.

This 2013 re-interpretation is what it is. The kicks are sly. Basically slip ons, so they give off the appearance of the classic RUN DMC ‘no laces’ look, but the rest of the collection is a bunch of screen printed basics. We haven’t had the chance to personally try on the cuts, so no comment. If you don’t have a RUN DMC piece in your wardrobe maybe the time is now. Here’s to hoping this collection is back, and some bombastic ideas are in the queue.

Anderson去設計他們的2013秋冬系列,然後J.W.的作品完全顛覆了Versus以往的模式。還記得嗎? 幾季前J.W.自己推出了一系列震撼的街頭服?我說,其實它們是有可穿性的。那種震撼的設計彷彿一去不往返,像是設計師要表達“我也能夠做到!”的一句短暫statement。現在,Anderson先生似乎更在意在設計上模糊性別的界線,這次和Versace Versus的合作也不例外。這種風格對於J.W.來說不是甚麼新鮮事,但是對於Versus男裝來說是個非常大膽的嘗試。通常Versus的設計會展現剛柔並重的男女形象,但是今年的Versace卻完全跳出舊框框。J.W. Anderson說要“男裝女著,女裝男著”。單看女裝系列這個主題尚且不夠鮮明,男裝呢? Whoohaa! 拍案叫絕!設計大膽卻完全不失品味。這個系列也預告了Versus的新方向:每一季都委任新的設計師。還記得Versus和Christopher Kane的合作嗎?對於挑選設計師Versace還是很有自己的一套品味。下一次又會有甚麼驚喜呢?

You want something new? Versace Versus recently commissioned J.W. Anderson to design its Fall/Winter 2013 line, and boy did J.W. turn the Versus template on its head! Remember a couple of seasons ago when J.W. freaked a collection that was a streetwear extravaganza? Wearable, I might add. Well those days seem gone for the time being, almost as if it were a tease like, ‘yeah I can do this’. Nowadays, Mr. Anderson seems very intent on blurring the lines between gender dressing. This crossover continues that train of thought. Nothing new for Mr. Anderson’s camp but boy-oh-boy, quite the left turn for the Versace man. Usually associated with an ideal of a uber-sexual man or woman, this year Versus has thrown it all out the window. “A man in a woman’s wardrobe, and a woman in a man’s”, says J.W. Anderson. With the women’s pieces, this theme doesn’t seem so apparent, but the gear for the fellas? Whoohaa! Unmistakable. Definitely to taste, the sheer adventurism of it all! This collection will also signify a new approach to the Versus line, where a new designer will come on board each season. Remember the collections with Christopher Kane? Their taste in designers has been pretty on point. Who’s got next?
