To be honest, maybe we posted this just so we could manipulate the images with some cool graphics. Lanvin’s Altair (the ‘i’ with two dots on top) jewelry this season, doesn’t pop like last year’s slogans. Still its chunky and accessorizes well as you can see in these pictures. For photoshoots and those naked parts that scream ‘bling me’, this is an option.
Was very curious to see how the signature chains I saw at the Versace presentation fit on the human form, so I dug up the runway images. The collection is strong. Its not going to pop out another fashion alphabet but having seen the details up close and the runway outfits now, I give it a 2 thumbs up. Typical acid color palettes are in full swing, denim gets love, flesh peeks out everywhere. Its Versace all right. Some interesting cuts, some nice accessories. This is by far not an in-depth look at the collection, consider it more a tease. We take you backstage!
The designs, Mary Katrantzou, the shoes, Gianvito Rossi. Mary’s up to her old tricks with these brightly colored pop art patterns that adorn the shoes. What really catches my eye are the shoe silhouettes. The open ankle boot, and especially the curved low cut lace up, with no openings. Not to say the patterns ain’t fly but the shapes are the progress. Keep on, keepin’ on.
