One a bassist with a garage rock and roll band, active in the Japanese underground scene, and the other a DJ that gets over-ground. Hailing from Nagano, the accomplices Keisuke Yamaguchi (hat guy) and Kazumasa Aoki, have created a collection of eyewear, that puts their passion for detail in music, into their shades. We met these 2 stylish cats a few seasons ago in HK, and quickly figured they knew their way around a party and good music! Check out their playlist all month.

The Cramps – Cramp Stomp
‘I only f’ with a few names like the Forbes List’ – Ralphiie Reese. Yo Ralphiie I know you going for that dusty, low fi darkness but I really needed to crack my volume to get this full flav. I feel the atmosphere, I am from the tape era, and other than that I just got good words. The follow up to his, ‘Maffmajishun’ gem is deserved. If ya’ll missin’ that old Rza sound, I mean Enter the 36 era, Ralphiie bears that torch now. Also deeply enjoy the slang prostitution wit. Tracks like SADART HOOSLAIN carry his Dart Vader legacy with new celeb infusions. The project is dope and dark. My cuts are, ’27 Bladez On My Dressah’, and, ‘Luv Hell or Right’. Blaze.

Halfway through this LP and it sounds full fleshed, not like some of the recent spate of records in this ‘Ye monsoon we’ve been getting. While it hasn’t veered far off course from typical R&B subject matter the songs bang. Yes I definitely dig the track with Mr. West, ‘Hurry’, and I made it to, ‘3Way’. Iman Shumpert you lucky bastard. The rest discover. I hope I ain’t led you wrong.
Kamasi Washington releases a beast! 16 songs for your listening pleasure. I have only gotten through half of this opus but its amazingly light and uplifting in sounds. Definitely carries a Pacific Jazz influence perfect for cruisin’ ya kna? The opening track, ‘Fists Of Fury’ sets a funky tone and if you ain’t in the back seat by, ‘Testify’, you better check if you soul.
