MUSIC IS PLAYING. JUNKO SHIMADA, GALLERY SIDE 2, TOKYO.

Junko Shimada, owns and operates Gallery Side 2, in Roppongi, Tokyo. She is a very generous woman, always willing to respond to our ‘Urgent’ requests, like the time we first met her at Art Basel Hong Kong, two years ago, and instantly requested an interview with her artist, Takeo Hanazawa. So not Japanese of us! Junko has amazing tastes in art and is not quick to let on that these amazing tastes extend to other parts of arts and culture, like music! We are proud to claim Junko as a very great friend of SPITGAN Magazine, and also, without hesitation, our favorite gallery owner in the world!

MUSIC IS PLAYING. SHARON CHIU, FASHION DIRECTOR, NUMERO CHINA.

Oh yeah ya don’t stop. The music keeps playing the records keep spinning. This month we are pleased to welcome Ms. Sharon Chiu, top stylist and fashion director of Numero China to our exalted alumni of SPITGAN selectors. Sharon is one of China’s most creative and inventive stylists working today.

Her work can be seen on the pages of Numero China as well as : http://www.mfaa.asia/sharon/styling.html#1

MUSIC IS PLAYING. BY FINE ARTIST, TAKEO HANAZAWA.

Get on down, Takeo! This month we are blessed with musical selections from the young and talented Japanese artist, Takeo Hanazawa! Takeo wears his musical influences on his sleeve. Google his paintings, sculptures, and artwork titles! We at SPITGAN dig his whimsical, irreverent style. Don’t write off the man’s work as all play, there are serious messages embedded within the pop culture references. These speak powerfully, like the music that inspires him. One.

Takeo Hanazawa’s work is represented by the great people at : www.galleryside2.net // SPITGAN will have the exclusive interview coming with issue #3!
