Louis Vuitton享譽為世界品牌! 最令人讚嘆的是LV標誌是由字母組合而成。是次邀請了具有知名度的設計師來設計此系列, 如:Christian Louboutin, Cindy Sherman, Marc Newson, Karl Lagerfeld, Frank Gehry and Rei Kawakubo, 並展現出他們的個人風格。設計講求的是創新, 表現自己風格, 大膽; 將不可能成為可能。就好像Frank Gehry 的設計:突出的地方是袋的形狀, 像一個百寶盒般, 具有新鮮感。除了設計要創新之外, 表達自己亦是不可忽視; 像Christian Louboutin , 紅色是他的標誌, 因此袋的設計必定有紅色的出現。另外, Karl Lagerfeld愛型格的事物, 正好以拳擊運動表達他的設計。以及Cindy Sherman, 無論在攝影或藝術方面, 她的作品充滿色彩, 正如今次的袋以旅行集郵的完素為主, 印章和袋的細節位也運用了鮮艷的顏色。最後, 設計亦需有大膽的勇氣, 不得不提Rei Kawakubo ,她以swiss cheese瑞士乳酪來設計, 十分創新和令人意想不到。由於Rei Kawakubo設計此袋是需特別要求, 如有興趣, 可親臨店鋪查詢。

Louis Vuitton don’s gather ’round! A special collection celebrating the vaunted LV monogram in all it’s glory! Christian Louboutin, Cindy Sherman, Marc Newson, Karl Lagerfeld, Frank Gehry and Rei Kawakubo have been roped in to imagine the iconic in their own way. If you can’t tell Frank Gehry’s standout pieces then you need a head check. C. Louboutin comes with his signature red in a slick bag shape. Marc Newson images a plush backpack. Karl Lagerfeld looked like he found his inspiration for his boxing gloves and punching bag from Young Buck’s bankruptcy liquidation sale, and Cindy Sherman went big in size, with travel patches. Rei, yes Rei. Her images were by special request, and our ‘special request’ fell on deaf ears. Check it in stores. Its the one that’s swiss cheesed up! BIGGIE!

This was clearly one of the most striking campaigns this season, and a very pleasant surprise. We love a sense of occasion here, and even more, the success stories that rise too it! A full year of the ‘GAN, with all its ups and downs is a full year regardless. Donna Karen the queen of NY fashion is on 30 years! This campaign celebrates it wtih a bang! Shot with a motion process involving 100 cameras inside a geodome (WTF is a geodome?!), photographer Steven Sebring and Karlie Kloss bring to life the 30 anniversary collection in a most stylish fashion! Kudos!

IT自主品牌IZZUE成立15周年,创意部颇具品位的人士委托了艺术家Ernesto Artillo为新季宣传广告打造了系列拼贴画。没有听闻过Ernesto Artillo大名的人也许听说过他是一个在地球上生活了27年的艺术家,曾与像Christian Dior,Dolce & Gabbana还有Yves Rocher这样的行业巨头跨刀合作过。同时Ernesto也是一位典型的西班牙人…代表!

For the 15 year anniversary of I.T.’s house brand, IZZUE, some tasteful fellow in its creative bowels has commissioned artist Ernesto Artillo to create these collages for its advertising campaign. Those not familio with Ernesto may know he is a artist of a tender 27 years on this earth and has collaborated with industry heavyweights like Christian Dior, Dolce & Gabbana and Yves Rocher. Ernesto is also a Spaniard. Represent!

毒品/FW2014 高级定制回顾/FW2014 COUTURE REVIEW

值得庆幸的是FW2014高级定制还算短暂。参与的品牌设计范围从巧思概念,到随机甚至丑陋。总体而言,令人大失所望。大多数品牌看起来或是平白无趣,或是半生不熟。同时,我们也注意到了最近许多日装/运动装的蠕变,令成衣收藏和高级女装之间的界限开始变得模糊。最值得瞩目的大约是 Victor & Rolf所打造的“穿着红毯”, Giambattista Valli也不错,而时装新手Hussein Chalayan则与Vionnet时装屋携手,杀出自己的一条血路。许多品牌的系列单品都超过50件以上,无意不在各位脑子画下一个巨大的问好,这有必要吗?以下是我们按字母顺序排列的视觉回顾。嗨呀!

Thankfully FW2014 Couture was brief. Of the brands that participated, the designs ranged from cleverly conceptual, to random and hideous. Overall a big disappointment. Most labels looked uninspired or half-cooked. We’ve also noticed a lot of daywear/sportswear creep in lately which is beginning to blur the lines between ready-to-wear collections and haute couture. A tip of the hat goes to Victor & Rolf for their cheeky execution of ‘wearing a red carpet’, Giambattista Valli did something, and Hussein Chalayan, couture newbie, popped his cherry with Vionnet. A lot of brands came with well over 50 pieces per collection, also composing the question in one’s mind, is it needed? See our visual review in alphabetical order below. Hiyah!
