SIKI IM SS19 MENSWEAR

Bali surf and spirituality, the inspiration behind designer Siki Im’s SS19 collection. Really like the details to the understated pieces. The pockets on the suits, the cuts of the bomber jackets. Nicely done. Bag up a dude like a scarecrow? My kinda ting.

JULIEN DAVID SS17

Julien David merged his mens and womens shows into one uber show for SS17. It worked to great effect as you could see his overall house theme come to life on both men and women. It was creative in his textile and texture treatments and also retained a light summer vibe. An easily wearable collection that is versatile, eye catching without being too much. Well done.

GIORGIO ARMANI MENS SS17

Well the maestro continues to go go go! Still bringin his extended mixes to the runways 60 to 70+ looks at a time. I must say I continue to find his designs interested and relevant. A Prive collection comes to mind of recent… He does enough forwardness that it forces you to keep one eye up! Salute to Giorgio. Some breezy suit pairings and cuts here, baggy trousers loose, all to another season’s accomplishment!

ETRO SS17 MENS

Well the haus of Etro was always known for some prints. This season they matched it up with some suitings and it went from zero to hero for me. Always doing it more on the ‘loud’ side of things, this season the color palette is more rusted and dark. More wearable without callin’ attention to yourself too much which is just right most of the time.
